We are Alex & Liz
We are Alex and Liz and we live, together with our daughter Liv, on beautiful Texel. True life-lovers who enjoy sharing our farm Vogelvlucht with guests looking for peace, nature and space.
The name VogelVlucht
The farm is named after Marietta Vogel, Alex’s mother. The name refers both to her contribution to our lives and to Alex’s passion for hang gliding: a bird’s-eye flight (“vogelvlucht”) over the beautiful Texel landscape.
What Alex does
Alex works as an architect, helping clients with distinctive designs through his company AquaTecture, specialised in water dwellings. His eye for detail and quality is reflected in the interiors of our accommodations.
Our passions
Architecture, art, music, travel, camping and camper trips. But also closer to home: hang gliding, water sports, walking, swimming and fully enjoying the nature around us. On Texel we find everything we look for.
The accommodations
With great care and attention to detail we have furnished our two apartments and our bed & breakfast. Everything has been fully renovated and equipped with what you need for an unforgettable stay. The names are no coincidence: Lepelaar, Tureluur, Strandloper, B&(no)B de Stormvogel en TEST KAMER are characteristic Texel birds that you can often spot around the farm.
